Excessive open ports

During a firewall scan, you might receive a warning that says “Excessive open ports were detected." Excessive open ports means that Trusted Site has found more than 20 open ports excluding port 80 and 443. For these targets, any port other than 80 and 443 will be excluded from all reports.

This alert is generally caused by a Web Application Firewall (WAF). In order to achieve a conclusive assessment of the remote host, the device(s) responsible for interfering with this scan may need to be configured to permit scanning without interference by adding our scanner IPs to your AllowList.
