Cloudflare often blocks bot traffic, which can prevent Halo Security scanners and crawlers from accessing your websites. We recommend using Cloudflare’s Firewall Rules feature to allow our scanners access.

From your Cloudflare dashboard:

  1. Select FirewallFirewall Rules

  2. Select Create Firewall Rule

  3. Give your rule a name like AllowHaloSecurity

  4. For Field, select IP Address and for Operator select is in

  5. For Value, add all of Halo Security’s IP addresses

  6. For Then… select Allow

  7. Click Save

Once you’ve created this first rule, you’ll want to add some additional rules.

  1. Select Create Firewall Rule

  2. Give your rule a name like AllowHaloSecurityBypass

  3. For Field, select IP Address and for Operator select is in

  4. For Value, add all of Halo Security's IP addresses

  5. For Then… select Bypass and add

    • Browser Integrity Check

    • Rate Limiting

    • Security Level

    • User Agent Block

    • WAF Managed Rules

    • Zone Lockdown

  6. Click Save

With your new Firewall Rules, our scanners should be able to help you gain clear visibility into your external websites.
